Richard Schalhamer was a high school physics teacher before becoming a full-time writer. He has been recognized with many honors at both the local and national level, including “Teacher of the Year” for both. He retired from teaching after 25 years to fulfill a lifelong dream to become a writer. He lives on his ranch in the mountains of Colorado.

   He has kept a journal since high school so much of his writing is based on real life events and real people from these well-documented accounts.

   His main love is crafting romance/adventure stories and historical fiction.  He has also written many children's books for his two boys, classroom physics adventures, physics textbooks, and songs.

   He has lived more fully than most and has embarked on countless adventures, therefore acquiring a wealth of knowledge and memories to access for inspiration.

   In the past he has written for friends and students but has decided to share his writings and thoughts with the rest of the world.
